Spring Lookahead

We’ve had about two days that have been over 50 degrees and I’m already ready for Spring. So, I’m getting myself more excited and looking ahead to some of the things I’ll possibly (probably) buy this season.

ONE: Vineyard Vines Shorts – I’m not a huge shorts person. As you can see from the rest of the list, I live most of the warm months in dresses and skirts. But, I like to have a pair of classic shorts that I can throw on and I absolutely love these. The pattern is gorgeous and it would add some femininity and zest to a normally super simple outfit.

TWO: Marc Fisher Sandals – Literally loving the trend of highlighter colors right now. I have never been completely in love with color. I usually live in neutrals. But, I like that these can add a pop to any outfit. And, I’m loving the idea of poutfit (pink outfit – don’t steal. Trademarking docs in process ;)). Outfit idea:Pairing these sandals with #7, Pink Mini Dress.

THREE: ASOS Boilersuit–Already bought this jumpsuit … and this is why I have no money. It’s not even warm outside yet. It’s so comfy and the ability to roll it up a LOT without drawing too much attention is v convenient.

FOUR: Madewell Ruffle Neck Top – I  really don’t wear too much red. So, I like the idea of adding this to my wardrobe. Outfit idea: This shirt with #1, Vineyard Vines Shorts, and #8, Tory Burch Espadrilles. This outfit would be perfect for a casual Fourth of July BBQ.

FIVE: J.Crew Maxi Dress – This maxi dress is so adorable. And, who doesn’t love a seersucker print? This dress would look adorable with a pair of lace up espadrilles.

SIX: Madewell Cashmere Sweater – I  LOVE this sweater. It looks so soft and cozy and definitely a good layering sweater as the weather gets warmer. Take a look at my post on outfits that are perfect for the transitional months of Spring and Summer.

SEVEN: Pink Mini Dress – Here’s that pink again! This dress is flirty and fun. Outfit Idea:It can be paired with a pair of Supergas or Tretorns to dress down. Or a heel, like #9, to dress it up.

EIGHT: Tory Burch Espadrilles – LOVE the timelessness of these shoes, as well as the versatility. For these, I’m thinking an airport or travel all-black outfit.

NINE: Chinese Laundry Sandals – Omg, these are on my definitely buying list. I love how trendy these are without being too cray. You can also wear them to the office or to a bar.

TEN: Rip Curl Romper – Literally love this for a beach VK or just a chill day at home. This, again, would be really cute dressed up. Outfit Idea:To make it pop a little, I can see this paired with espadrilles, like #9, and achunky necklace.

ELEVEN: Nic + Zoe Floral Pants – These are definitely a piece that I wouldn’t even try to dress down (Outfit Idea:maybe with a white sneaker and a cute cropped tee, if you really twisted my arm). But, I love that they’re such a statement piece that you can go super simple with the accessories and pairing items.

TWELVE: ASOS Tea Jumpsuit – ALREADY BOUGHT THIS. I couldn’t wait until it got warm. This item is so classic yet trendy. It has a super cute back, which I still think is pretty work appropriate depending on your office environment. I’m pretty short and it still hits mid-length on my calf.

THIRTEEN: Tuckernuck Megan Taffeta Dress – I already have this dress in black and love it. Now, I’m looking to expand the color selection in my closet. This dress is definitely more warm weather appropriate than my black one.

FOURTEEN: Soludos Espadrilles – One of my biggest rules when shopping is that I need to be able to pair the item with things that I already own to make at least three outfits. And, I can see myself pairing these with so many pieces already in my closet.

FIFTEEN: Navy Midi Dress – This looks like such a comfy dress, perfect for a beach vacation. But, again, it can also be dressed up, with shoes like #9 or a pair of stilettos.

SIXTEEN: Tuckernuck Blue Bella Dress – Can you tell I’m shopping for a relaxing summer VK? This dress seems like such a throw on, yet still looks put together. I’ve also been on a Tuckernuck kick lately. See my latest haul.

SEVENTEEN: Tkees Lace-Up Sandal – I’ve been looking for sandals like these for a really long time. Firstly, I love that they can be pretty much paired with anything, dressy or lax. But, my favorite thing about them is that they look almost like you’re barefoot, which is really cute and summery to me.

EIGHTEEN: ASOS Jumpsuit with Buttons – Already bought this one too … I love the casualness of this piece. But, I’ve also already worn this to work with a white collared shirt underneath. I think it adds a bit of uniqueness to just a normal white and black outfit. I’m excited to wear this with a bralette and some sandals.

NINETEEN: Zara Embroidered Dress – This dress is so pretty and is definitely timeless. I love the peasant look because it seems to never go out of style. This can be worn so many different ways. Outfit Ideas: On the colder days of Spring, with a turtleneck underneath and some suede boots. Or, as it gets warmer with a pair of espadrilles.

TWENTY: Lilly Pulitzer Jumpsuit – This, again, is such a simple piece. And, seems perfect to throw over a bathing suit or dress up for a nice dinner out on vacation. I’m not completely sold on Lilly. But, this one isn’t too in your face about the brand.
