• Monthly Motivations – October

My goal this month was to stick to my healthy diet for at least five days each week. But, my goal next month is to eliminate the guilt from my diet. Although I want to stay on the right track, it’s not healthy to punish yourself for decisions that, at the end of the day, could be much worse.  I have spent years berating myself for eating foods that I don’t think I deserve to eat. But, this month, I really want to change my outlook on treats. I somehow have the inability to resist something sweet. But, I need to allow this to be acceptable. Currently, I could look…

  • Sunday Shopping: Stores I Browse for Boho Looks

Free People Free People is the epitome of boho, hippie styles. All of their pieces are super relaxed and trendy in a bohemian sense. One // Jumpsuit – First of all, I love the color of this piece. Secondly, the shape seems super flattering to all shapes because it doesn’t look like it fits too tightly. I’d pair it with the below Free People pieces: Two // Mini Dress – This dress is ADORABLE. I love a good low neckline. It reminds me of summer and just throwing on a dress before you head out the door. I’m also loving bandanas right now. This accessory would go perfectly with the…

  • Monday Munchies

I’ve been trying to eat pretty clean during the week. But, Mondays are pretty hard for me because it’s tough getting back on the wagon after treating myself during the weekend. I’ve decided to start a new series to try to keep myself on track on Mondays/ Pre Breakfast 6-7 AM I have my morning routine pretty down pat. Since working virtually, I’ve been getting up around 6 to workout or run. (But, when we return to the office, I’ll be waking up around 4:30-5.🙄) During my exercises, I try to finish a bottle of water. My water bottle is 50 oz. This is my first of the day. I…

  • Monthly Motivations – September

Looking ahead to my goals for next month, I knew exactly what I wanted to focus on. I have yet to have a perfect week when my diet is concerned. I always end up sneaking half a cookie or a pack of gummies … a day. However, my goal next month is to stick to my diet completely for at least all business days. I have yet to do this … ever in my life. I think this is where the cheesy saying comes in: It’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle. Although overused, it’s very true. Diets are hard to stick to because they seem harsh and temporary once…

  • Monthly Obsession Roundup – August

Here are some of the products, books, and TV shows I’ve been obsessing over this week. I’m trying to push myself to try new products and read a little bit more. I’m hoping this will help me stick to it. True Botanicals – Pure Radiance Oil I am absolutely in love with this product. It is my new HG for skincare because I love how it makes my skin feel. I’ve been using it for a little over two weeks now and am excited to see the true results after a few more weeks. But, so far I’m loving it as a moisturizer and am excited to see the anti-aging…

  • What I Wear Wednesday: Perfect Outfit for Inverted Triangle or Pear Shaped Bodies.

If you’re self conscious of either your top or your bottom half, you shouldn’t be. Because you’re beautiful! But, if you want to wear something that you feel flatters you, try something like this. Similarly to an hourglass shape, it’s important to emphasize your waist. In this instance, choosing flowy pieces on both the top and the bottom will camouflage any insecurities while also drawing attention to your itty bitty waist. This flowy top is old American Eagle. I’ve found some similars.Shirt – Top – Banana Republic / Lulus / Gap CINCH THE WAIST, LADIES! Belt – Gap To add to the flowiness, choose a tiered option. This is an…

  • Styling Saturday: Drab to Fab

Since we’re heading into Fall (so excited!), I thought I’d put together an outfit with some warmer pieces that shows it’s SO EASY to make an outfit more interesting. Although I love really simple pieces and ensembles, if I ever feel like an outfit is lacking something, I try to add a pattern to mix it up a bit. This outfit is pretty chill. I love the contrast of a chunky sweater with leather. AND then we have some suede in here too (leather and suede is another one of my FAV combos, as I’ve said before). However, it’s pretty blocky, and not in a good way. To break that…

  • Finance Friday – First Full Week: How My Budget has Held Up

Much like my fitness routine when I moved to Disney, it hasn’t. 😂 Moving is always a difficult time on the wallet. You realize things you still need for your apartment, items you need for work, pieces of clothing you need to feel comfortable in your new climate or lifestyle. For me, the first thing really tripped me up. June Homes is awesome and provides a TON of things for the apartment. You do not need to bring linens (towels and sheets), furniture, cleaning supplies, dishes, and basic cooking utensils. However, I’ve had to order a lot of niche items that are not considered “basic”. Evidently, my Target bill has…

  • Life in NYC: Transitioning to the City

Moving to NYC has been a dream of mine since I was young. I had a little over a week between moving in and when my training for work started. Coincidentally, my roommates were out of town during this week. So, I had my apartment all to myself. I really had the best transition to the city because I also didn’t have to adjust to living with strangers at the same time. DAY 1 // I met up with my family who currently live in the city. They had planned the best day for us. We checked out Central Park and Columbus Circle. We then went to dinner at The…

  • What I Wear Wednesday: Perfect Outfit for Rectangle, Athletic, and Inverted Triangle Body Types

This outfit is made up of some pretty old pieces in my wardrobe. But, I still love it because it’s super comfy without looking so. It’s crazy what a simple cardigan can do! I also love this color combo together. I’m still trying to add color to my wardrobe and make an effort to wear colorful pieces but it was super easy to do so for this outfit. This ensemble would be perfect for someone with an inverted triangle, athletic, or rectangle body type because the roundness of the cardigan adds some good shape for those who don’t have many curves. But, it also camouflages any curves on the top…
