Monthly Obsession Roundup – August

Here are some of the products, books, and TV shows I’ve been obsessing over this week. I’m trying to push myself to try new products and read a little bit more. I’m hoping this will help me stick to it.

True Botanicals – Pure Radiance Oil

I am absolutely in love with this product. It is my new HG for skincare because I love how it makes my skin feel. I’ve been using it for a little over two weeks now and am excited to see the true results after a few more weeks. But, so far I’m loving it as a moisturizer and am excited to see the anti-aging benefits.

Vegamour – Lash Serum

Again, I haven’t used this product long enough to see the lasting results of it. However, I’m loving the idea of taking care of my lashes. I have a pretty extensive nighttime routine and I have never added my eyelashes into this routine. I’ve heard amazing things about this product and am excited to see how I like it in a few more weeks.

Brit Bennett – The Vanishing Half

I came across this book in a bookstore and had heard nothing about it. I was just attracted to the cover. I then looked up the reviews and saw that everyone had nothing but AMAZING things to say. Now that I’m finished, I can’t stop recommending it to my friends and am so excited for the HBO show to come out. I’ve been trying to read every night before bed and am sticking to the goal of getting through a book a week.

Hulu – Ugly Betty

First of all, America Ferrera is AH-MAY-ZING. I’ve loved her since Gotta Kick It Up! days (which is on Disney+ by the way???? WHAT?). Second of all, the whole cast is equally as amazing (Also – watching a show with Ana Ortiz has me thinking my next binge will be Devious Maids. Am I the only one who does this? I started watching Ugly Betty again because I saw Vanessa Williams in Desperate Housewives.). I watched this show in middle school and when I saw it on Hulu, I realized that I don’t think I ever finished it. So far, loving it as much as I did then.

Carly Heitlinger – Carly the Prepster

I just recently came across Carly’s blog and am absolutely loving it! She is definitely an inspiration of mine and I absolutely LOVE her style (especially her quarantine ensembles. She’s looking so comfy but giving me the inspo to get dressed and ready everyday!).
