• Sunday Shopping: Stores I Browse for Boho Looks

Free People Free People is the epitome of boho, hippie styles. All of their pieces are super relaxed and trendy in a bohemian sense. One // Jumpsuit – First of all, I love the color of this piece. Secondly, the shape seems super flattering to all shapes because it doesn’t look like it fits too tightly. I’d pair it with the below Free People pieces: Two // Mini Dress – This dress is ADORABLE. I love a good low neckline. It reminds me of summer and just throwing on a dress before you head out the door. I’m also loving bandanas right now. This accessory would go perfectly with the…

  • What I Wear Wednesday: Perfect Outfit for Inverted Triangle or Pear Shaped Bodies.

If you’re self conscious of either your top or your bottom half, you shouldn’t be. Because you’re beautiful! But, if you want to wear something that you feel flatters you, try something like this. Similarly to an hourglass shape, it’s important to emphasize your waist. In this instance, choosing flowy pieces on both the top and the bottom will camouflage any insecurities while also drawing attention to your itty bitty waist. This flowy top is old American Eagle. I’ve found some similars.Shirt – Top – Banana Republic / Lulus / Gap CINCH THE WAIST, LADIES! Belt – Gap To add to the flowiness, choose a tiered option. This is an…

  • Styling Saturday: Drab to Fab

Since we’re heading into Fall (so excited!), I thought I’d put together an outfit with some warmer pieces that shows it’s SO EASY to make an outfit more interesting. Although I love really simple pieces and ensembles, if I ever feel like an outfit is lacking something, I try to add a pattern to mix it up a bit. This outfit is pretty chill. I love the contrast of a chunky sweater with leather. AND then we have some suede in here too (leather and suede is another one of my FAV combos, as I’ve said before). However, it’s pretty blocky, and not in a good way. To break that…

  • Sunday Shopping – Pieces for Hourglass Body Types.

Hourglass body types have so many options when it comes to clothing pieces. However, I can see how dressing this body type can be somewhat intimidating to some people. An hourglass shape is so beautiful and it’s so easy to find pieces that can make you feel GORGEOUS. But, that’s the point! To find pieces that make you feel gorgeous. If you find something that doesn’t fit with the below pieces, do you, girl! Tops I don’t love the look of an obvious peplums. But, I love pieces that have a peplum shape without being one outright. These pieces really emphasize your waist and make an outfit go from frumpy…

  • Styling Saturday: Drab to Fab

The outfit on the left is pretty chill for a casual day around the house or running errands. But, I wanted to mix it up a bit and put a little of my flare into it. Autumn Cashmere / Sweater – This sweater is soooooo soft and comfy. What really attracted me to it was its versatility. I love how it’s somewhat slouchy so it can be worn pretty casually. But, I also loved that I could see myself dressing it up with possibly a cream pair of slacks and nude flats on a chilly Spring day. It’s pretty breathable so it’s perfect for lounging around the house when it’s…

  • Sunday Shopping – Stores I Browse for Preppy Looks

I find it hard to pinpoint my style. It honestly depends on how I’m feeling that day and what influences I’ve recently had. If I’m watching a certain show and I’m digging their style, I’ll start to put together outfits that fit that theme for a couple weeks until I’m influenced by something else. But, I always seem to gravitate back to the classic style that is almost timeless. An aspect of this style is preppiness. I have my go-to stores for preppy, classic styles. I’ve picked a few pieces from some of these stores that I would buy and would fit into my idea of preppiness. Of course: I…

  • Styling Saturday: Drab to Fab

This is one of my all-time favorite dresses as it can be styled so many different ways. (I bought this dress a couple years ago so it’s no longer being sold. But, I’ve linked some similars below.) It’s a little underrated because, at first glance, it’s pretty boring, ordinary. But, when paired with the right accessories, it can become anyone’s favorite piece in their closet. Here, I styled it pretty simply, as most people might style it: very relaxed, comfortable, and simple. But, below, I added a few pops of color and accessories I’ve had in my closet for years and I changed it from a boring dress to an…

  • What I Wear Wednesday: OOTD

Dress / Similar Sneakers I absolutely love this dress. It’s a super soft gauzy material that breathes really well in the heat. I go on walks everyday and this dress, although long sleeve, doesn’t affect me too much in the humidity, allowing me to keep my PALE skin covered. My shoes are a huge staple in my wardrobe. Although they no longer sell them, they’re still my favorite (they’re my second pair). They feel like walking on clouds and, if I’m not already wearing them, I pop them on before my walk. Overall, this is a pretty comfy outfit, which is something I strive for now that I’m staying home…

  • Sunday Shopping – My Search for Americorp Uniform Items.

I will be doing a year with Americorp’s City Year starting in a few weeks. Because we are working in schools, there seems to be a fairly strict dress code and uniform. In order to comply, I will be wearing a City Year polo and black pants and shoes. I have a pair of black pants but wanted to stock up on a few more so that I’m not constantly doing laundry or wearing dirty clothes. Loft is one of my FAVORITE places to shop for pants because I’m fairly short and it’s always so difficult for me to find pants that fits correctly. But, their trousers always fit me…

  • Styling Saturday: Drab to Fab

This old O’Neill dress is definitely a favorite of mine although it always reminds me to order a size down with O’Neill. Despite its large size, it’s super comfortable yet feminine. If I were on the go, it would hold up on its own with a simple pair of flipflops. But, to make it go from drab to fab and make it an outfit, I added a few styling pieces. O’Neill – As this dress is old, I found a super similar one. As a reminder, I would try a size down. O’Neill’s clothes tend to run a little large. Urban Outfitters – Firstly, because it’s a little larger on me, I…
