• Fall Lookback

It is starting to get a little chillier and apple cider weather is almost here! As I begin to look at buying clothes for the upcoming cozy weather, I’m drawing inspiration from some of my favorite chilly outfits of the past. Effortlessly Classic I love this classic, yet effortless look. It looks pretty put together for how comfy it is. These Loft pants are seriously so soft and these Taryn Rose Flats are like walking on clouds. Subtly SeventiesThis Madewell sweater is so soft and cozy (but, FYI, it sheds A LOT). I paired it with a collared shirt and added the square scarf for somewhat of a 70’s vibe.…

  • Obsession Tracker – September 2019

Podcasts – True Crime My Favorite Murder – I’ve listened to this podcast for a while but it is still one of my favorites. Super creepy at times. But, these hilarious ladies add some much needed humor to distract from the horrible crimes they talk about. I have always dipped my toes into true crime as an interest. But, this podcast really allowed me to jump in without the fear of drowning. It is the perfect balance of terrifying and hilarious. 22 Hours: An American Nightmare – This podcast was truly terrifying because this crime proves that horrific things can happen to anyone. But, I couldn’t tear my ears away from it. I…

  • Summer Roundup

Because it’s the end of summer, I was looking back at some of my favorite summer outfits that I wore to work and on weekends. They feature trends that I’m really loving right now and some versatile items. Three Outfits, One Sweater Right now, I’m in love with peplums as well as adding a little bit of flowiness to my wardrobe. This sweater is so soft and lightweight; it’s perfect for the end of summer. A piece like this is also really versatile and can be worn more casually or dressed up. Dresses With Sneakers I am literally obsessed with this trend. I think it makes legs look more athletic…

  • Online Shopping Tips I Have Collected From My Lifetime of Addiction (…ahem I mean shopping)

I have always loved shopping. But, when I began online shopping in high school, my love for the activity grew. If I wasn’t doing homework or hanging out with friends, I was shopping. This is how I relaxed. I love fashion and putting outfits together and online shopping allowed me to see more items in a shorter amount of time. Tabs are your best friend. A trick I learned many moons ago is to open each item in its own tab. This saves time and allows you to keep your place on the previous page. That way, you don’t have to scroll all the way down to where you were…

  • Transitioning to Post Grad

The Disney College Program was basically my way of extending college a little bit longer. I loved having the chance to experience of living with other people and having more of a college lifestyle, even after graduation. During the program, I was surrounded by others who were motivated, excited about their future, and interested in the same things as me. We all enjoyed the nightlife in Orlando, were stressed about planning our futures, and were constantly taking advantage of basically living in Disney World. Since coming home, my life has changed drastically. Almost immediately, I got a job processing payments for a company that handles business domains. It is hopefully…

  • Inspections in Chatham

I am writing post program. However, this was a topic that I wanted to cover because I found it really hard to find information on it before I got to Disney. While I was living in Chatham, I was living in an apartment with seven other girls. It was four bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. Our rent want about $115 a week. Our first inspection, it was a little difficult to coordinate with everyone in the apartment about what should be done and how we were going to accomplish it. Two of our roommates had already done the program and it was really helpful getting their advice on…

  • How My Exercise Routine Has Held Up During My Program

It hasn’t. I have never really been a sporty person. However, I have been an avid gym goer for about five years. This summer, though, I really stepped my fitness up into high gear and was exercising about five days a week. I went to a gym where a trainer would lead HIIT workouts and I found this workout really fun and I actually stayed with it the whole summer. Before I started this class, I would normally run every day after work. I would dread this workout every day to the point of getting nauseous until it was done. And, I wouldn’t see much of a difference in weight…

  • Taking a Trip Home

I have been home twice so far during my program and they both have left me refreshed and excited to go back to work and, more importantly, warm weather. I am originally from Delaware and am able to experience fall when I go home, which has been nice. I also have siblings who are much younger than I am and it is wonderful to come home and visit with them. I try to stay as present in their lives as possible. This trip was very difficult to plan because I was trying to get all of my days off in a row. My location has a lot of rules when…

  • The Seater Position at Hollywood Studios

From what I’ve heard, the seater position can vary from location to location. This differs from other DCP jobs that I’ve heard about. Merchandise, for example, seems to be pretty consistent in that you sell items and you stock them. There may be slight variations according to location. However, these are the main tasks. The seater position, though, has a few more responsibilities that I originally did not associate with the title of the job. I am a seater at Hollywood and Vinein Hollywood Studios (You can check out my post about how I like working in this park here). It is a character dining experience and an all you…

  • Breakdown of My First Days of the Disney College Program

This month has gone by extremely fast. Here’s a breakdown of the move-in, training process, work schedule, and days off. In order to get here, I took the Amtrak auto train. Since I’m from the Philly area, it allowed me to get my car here without putting all of the miles on it. On the train, we had a bed and shower in our cabin – that’s also something I couldn’t get in my Bug. After a somewhat jostled night, I arrived to checkin at my housing complex. My Siblings Waving Me Goodbye I am currently living in Chatham Square with seven other roommates. Beforehand, we were given our apartment…
